Captain Mike's

BEER & BURGER BAR

Captain Mike's

New Captain.
Same Crew.

Jeanette and Michael Kelly, owners of Captain Mike's

In July 2019, Jeanette and Michael Kelly took the helm of a Kenosha institution. Captain Mike's wasn't just a bar — it was a neighborhood landmark, a place where regulars knew each other by name and the burgers had already earned their reputation.

The Kellys didn't try to reinvent the wheel. They respected the legacy, kept the character, and then quietly made everything better. The interior got a facelift. The exterior was upgraded. The beer selection — already strong — got deeper and wider. A craft gin program was born. And the food? It got even more intentional, more creative, more worth talking about.

Today, Captain Mike's is a three-time Best of Kenosha winner — recognized for Best Burgers, Best Bar Food, and Best Beer Selection. The signature burgers are crafted with grass-fed beef, American Kobe, or a house-made black bean patty. The Mac 'n Cheese changes weekly. The gin program has become a genuine destination feature.

And the original Captain Mike? He still comes in. Because that's the kind of place this is — one where the past and present sit at the same bar, sharing a pint and a story.
